Ace Photonics won the first prize in the growth group of the 9th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Jilin Division) and the 2020 "Changchun New District Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition
From September 9th to 10th, 2020, the finals of the 9th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Jilin Division) and the 2020 "Changchun New District Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held at the Changchun Convention and Exhibition Center Hotel. The China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is an innovation and entrepreneurship event with the highest standards, the largest scale, the best quality, and the widest influence in China, jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Since the second competition, Jilin Province has held seven consecutive China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Jilin Division) events. Since the launch of this competition in July this year, a total of 435 companies in the province have signed up to participate, covering multiple fields such as new-generation information technology, biology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, energy conservation, and environmental protection. After the preliminary round and semi-finals, a total of 53 companies entered the finals.
In the end, the "Atomic Clock Special Semiconductor Laser Chip" project of Changchun Ace Photonics Co., Ltd. won first prize in the growth group of the competition and was expected to represent Jilin Province in the national finals.
Changchun Ace Photonics Co., Ltd. (Ace Photonics) was established on September 30, 2018. It was jointly funded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, core members of the semiconductor laser team, and strategic investors. In 2022, Ace Photonics relocated its headquarters to Wuxi, Jiangsu, as part of the company's continued development and expansion.
Its main business focuses on the R&D and production of vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs). Relying on the technical team's years of accumulated experience in VCSEL chip technology, the company launched a series of single-mode VCSEL products within a relatively short period and achieved batch supply to multiple domestic customers.
Ace Photonics focuses on improving laser chip performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency through independently developed core technologies.
